Fast, Convenient, Online Giving
Give Online
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
– 2 Corinthians 9:7-8
When you give to the church, 100% of the tithe is sent directly to the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is used to pay pastors and support gospel ministry around the world. Local church budget offerings are retained locally and fund operating expenses at the University City Church like community service, evangelism, youth programs, and Sabbath School. Thank you for your generous contributions to support our local church budget. Learn more about giving at by exploring this page.
Because “the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,” (Psalm 24:1a) giving to God through the church is actually returning to God what is already His. We don’t “pay” tithes and offerings. Giving is an act of worship and gratitude done without an expectation of receiving anything in return.

What are the benefits of giving online?
Giving online allows you to:
- Give using an electronic check or with a credit or debit card.
- Create a gift schedule.
- View and print your giving record at any time.
Is online giving safe?
AdventistGiving safeguards your information carefully using the latest industry-standard security methods available. They use firewalls to block unauthorized access by individuals or networks and use secure transmissions such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to encrypt information between you and AdventistGiving. As an additional safeguard, they also encrypt all backup tapes.
How Is Your Tithe & Offering Used For God’s Work?
We read in Malachi 3:8-10, “In tithes and offerings … Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.” For the Seventh-day Adventist Church that means 100% of the tithe dollars returned are sent directly to the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The tithe is used primarily for the support of pastors and other gospel workers.
You may ask, how much of your tithe helps pay for our local church budget needs?
none, nada, zip, zilch, nil, zero.
All of the tithe money is returned to the storehouse, just as the Bible instructs. Only local offerings help fund the needs of our local church. No tithe is retained locally.
Will I Receive a Tax Receipt?
Year-end contribution statements will be mailed by January 31st. Your contribution history includes all the contributions you’ve made to University City SDA Church whether online or in person.
Why Does Your Local Church Need Your Support?
Your offerings make a difference. We encourage all church members to give a portion of their income to support their local church. While God says our tithe is 10%, offerings are unspecified. Looking at our church budget needs, we suggest each member give 5% to the local church budget offering. Our local church budget for the 2022-2023 fiscal year is $142,620, with additional funds needed for items such as church planting, evangelism, church maintenance, and future plans for the new Family Life Center.
How can you help? Give generously and systematically to support your local church budget.
